 DirectPDF is included with CAD6studio and CAD6industrie and enables you to create high-quality and extremely high-resolution PDF files directly from within CAD6.
When using DirectPDF, all transparencies and colors models (RGB/HSB, CMYK, gray, CIELab), as well as layers, if desired, are retained. The output accuracy is 0.00000035 mm, which is better by a factor of about 30,000 compared to using a standard PDF printer driver.
You can download a PDF template here that has been created using DirectPDF. The drawing template for this PDF file comes with all versions of CAD6.
The most significant differences are in transparency and accuracy. The following examples show a section from a PDF file displayed with maximum zoom (6400%) on the screen:

DirectPDF creates PDF 1.7 and supports protected documents (no printing, no copying, no editing).
For bitmaps, an RGB color space profile can be embedded. Hyperlinks to files and Internet addresses are retained.
It is included with CAD6studio and CAD6industrie at no extra costs. Not available in CAD6starter.
Owners of a CAD6PDF license can continue to use that with all its features for the foreseeable future. However, we recommend switching to DirectPDF soon. New licenses are no longer available.
